1. Throw out nonessential numbers. Throw them out of your mind, this includes age,
weight and height.( Age is just a number; and as for the other two go, its all about the
" attitude" , and the way you carry yourself!) Let The docter worry about them. thats why
you pay him/ her!
2. Keep only ceerful friends around you. They act as balm , to soothe and comfort you in times
of distress. Its important to have a good circle of friends to motivate you, encourage you,
lift your spirits up, rather that the grounchy ones who only pull you down!
3. Keep learning new things everyday. The brain should be in active mode and one must
keep feeding information to it from time to time. Knowledge is wealth; and its limitless!
Learn anything! It could be about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever....but the
key point is to remember...Never to let the brain idle; for as the saying goes
"An idle mind is the devel's workshop". And that devel's name very well can be ALZHEIMER'S!
4. Enjoy the simple things in life. Have you noticed that its the small and little things in
life that bring us the most pleasures, rather that the expensive gifts that money can buy!?
Learn to treasure those small moments; it could be anything from being with nature,
to having your little bunddle of joy in your arms when you come back from a hard day's work
at home, to being with your loved ones and family members, taking time to smell the roses
so to say...etc etc cherish these moments, they may seem small but make wonderful magical
memories!
5. Laugh often, loud and long. laugh untill you gasp for breath! Not only does it burn
callories, it looks good on you/your face! It holistically makes you feel good from
inside and outside. :)
6. The tears happen in life, they come, endure, grieve and move on. Dont hold on to
them and the bad memories attached or accociated with those tears! You have to
learn to let go......because the only person who is with us our entire life; is-
" OURSELVES" . Be grateful to God that you are 'Alive' , Be ALIVE while
you ARE alive!
7. Sourround yourself with what you love, and the things you love doing.
whether its you family, pets , your keepsakes, listening to your favorite music
having plants, hobbies...or whatever.
Remember your home is your refuge. A place where you can call your Very Own,
your "Haven", so it should be comfortable, inviting, cozy, and most of all wher you can
totally relax and forget about the worries of the world once you step into it! ;)
8. Cherish your health. If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it, if it
is beyound what you can improve, get Help. After all the most famous saying says it all
" Health IS Wealth" !!! and if you are not in a good condition itself; all the said above
would be futile anyway!
9. Don't take guilt trips in your life. Feeling guilty is the worst feeling in the world! It
eats away your spirit from within.
take a trip to the mall instead, or go to the next country, or a foreign country perhaps?
But NOT to where the guilt is!
10. Tell the people you love How much you love them at every oppertunity.
Bacause once they are gone they are gone forever! Unfortunatly we only realize
the importance and value of someone or something once they have gone or out of
sight!
And always remember-
